Attend your free
consultation
During your consultation we’ll discuss your orthodontic needs and decide whether Invisalign is the right treatment choice for you.
We’ll then begin the process of custom designing aligners specific to your smile.

Treatment plan & custom
aligners created
A highly detailed 3D scan of your teeth and gums will be performed in our office. This scan is then used to map out the exact movements we want your teeth to make.
Your custom aligners will then be created from Invisalign’s special SmartTrack® material.

First fitting & treatment
commences
Once your aligners are ready we’ll invite you back to see us to have the first aligner fitted. We’ll let you know how to wear and care for your aligner.
You’ll then wear each set of aligners day and night for about two weeks, removing them to eat, drink, brush and floss.

with the world!
When you’ve finished wearing each aligner in the series, your treatment will be complete, and you will have the beautiful smile you’ve always wanted.
To ensure that your perfect new smile stays this way, you’ll wear retainers at night for the first six months and then as instructed by Dr Hahn.

Invisalign Frequently Asked Questions
Invisalign is both more comfortable and more discrete than braces. The clear custom-fit trays are hardly noticeable and most people won’t even realize you’re wearing them. Plus, they can be removed for important presentations or dates! The clear trays are also smooth against the inside of your mouth and don’t pinch or scratch like the brackets from braces. If your trays rub on your gums, they can be easily adjusted. Invisalign trays exert a gentler pressure compared to braces and only shift a few teeth at a time. That makes Invisalign orthodontics far more comfortable than conventional methods.
Over the course of treatment, you will be supplied with a series of aligners. Each aligner will make slight adjustments to tooth position, a process that is mapped out in advance by your dentist, specifically for your situation. When the aligners are placed on the teeth, they cause the teeth to gradually shift from their current position. After approximately two weeks, you will begin using the next set of aligners, which will continue the teeth straightening process.
On average, it takes anywhere from 6 to 12 months for your teeth to move into the correct position with Invisalign. Most people start noticing some movement, however, within the first 6 weeks after getting their first set of aligner trays. The more changes you would like to see, the longer it will take no matter what orthodontic option you choose.

Yes, you can remove your Invisalign aligners for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. You can take them off for special occasions, like a wedding, job interview, or for playing your favourite sport or instrument. Just remember to wear them 20 to 22 hours a day to get the best results.
No. Thanks to the removable nature of the aligners, you can eat and drink whatever you want while in treatment. In fact, you’re required to remove your aligners to eat and drink. So, unlike when undergoing traditional treatment using wires and brackets, there is no need to restrict your consumption of any of your favourite foods and snacks unless you are instructed otherwise by your dentist. Also, it is important that you brush your teeth after each meal and prior to reinserting your aligners to maintain fresh breath and proper hygiene.
